5. Tele Session 5: Intuition and Synchronicity 5-29-12
Kathleen Interview’s Bonita Kay Summers. Tips from Bonita for tuning into your intuition leading you to great joy!
Trust and live in courage
Remember everything is energy- create an awareness and think of everything occurring as energy
Connect to your body
An exercise to practice every morning for 15 minutes: begin with an open curiosity. Be with any tension in your body, breathe into the area you’re noticing. This practice will help develop and bring awareness to your “feeling” places and emotional body. Often our emotions are tied to tension in our bodies.
Use Guiding Signs 101 cards to practice tuning in. Use the signs to notice and practice what Bonita describes as “an emotional hit.” It’s your intuition communicating with you.
4. Tele Session 4: The Power of Play 4-24-12
Fun Things to Try, Be Creative:
Spend Time with Your Inner Child (she knows exactly how you want to play): take a day off or a few hours and just listen to how your playful self wants to have some fun. If you need a starter idea, you could always start by skipping.
Change Up Your Routine: one example is to move in slow motion- imagining you’re moving through molasses. You can move slowly from your bedroom to your kitchen for a cup of hot tea. It’s a great way to engage your imagination and try something new.
Being Animated: I am someone who is often up in my head so I use this a lot. What you do with your body, or the state that you put your body into can override your thoughts. If you want to create a shift in energy to a playful state start with movement.
Spontaneity: just watch children or your pets- they “just go for it.” They spring forth, with a big YES to life- without thinking about it! One suggestion “talk in an accent, next time you go to a restaurant order your meal in an accent, you’ll likely be with friends or people who know you well and will have everyone laughing.
Exaggeration- Funny and silly can easily happen when you exaggerate your thoughts or your body. Playful dance moves. Moving your body in a new amusing way. Or sing a song about what’s currently going on- I often make up silly songs when something is bothering me. It has a way of releasing any dis-empowering thoughts.
New Associations: word play or putting two unrelated things together is a fun way to stretch your creative thinking. Like Kathleen’s example of thinking of two words that immediately come to mind, “table- socks.”
Some fun tricks:
Press your Restart Button: In case you didn’t know it’s your belly button. Stand up and while crossing one leg over the other, spin and do a 360 while raising your arms and say a BIG “whooooo.” Motion creates emotion. With this fun movement you are engaging many parts of yourself to create an impact and immediately shift in how you feel.
Blah-blah-blah: this is great to clear your head and get out of your mind! You relax your jaw, your tongue, shaking your head back and forth you say “blah blah blah blah.”
Mental floss: clean out the mental plaque of your mind. Run imaginary floss back and forth between your ears while breathing deeply.

3. Tele Session 3: Living a Life of Heart and Meaning 3-27-12
Joseph Campbell said “when you follow your bliss the universe will open doors where there were only walls and unseen forces of power rearrange things because of your step of faith”.
Kathleen’s 4 Keys to Your Unlimited Self of Heart and Meaning: Four keys to successfully moving into your UNLIMITED self of your heart so you can SOAR……
Surrender-Letting go of limiting beliefs – using EFT, Byron Katie “The Work”- projections and forgiveness- Helps to move out of the traps of the mind and ego and into the heart. What masks are you wearing; can you let go of your masks?
Open– Open to what wants to come through you. Listen. Sit in silent meditation for 15 minutes with the question you are holding of: what is my next step? Use walking meditation – go for a walk in nature and ask – What most wants to come through me? Then go home and write for at least 20 minutes without stopping.
(Accept, Allow, Action):
Accept: Accept and love yourself for exactly how you are now. Accept and love others in your life for how they are right now in this moment. Paradox of transformation is that you must fully start with acceptance for exactly how something is for transformation to occur.
Allow: let go of striving and trying to force and control things. Allow things to occur.
Action: what are the actions you can begin to take for the things that have been revealed to you? You can create a visioning board – You must be able to SEE it to believe it. You can set your intentions. What are some baby steps you can take so the Universe and Source can meet you to start opening doors?
Receive: we live in a world where giving is valued. We have not really learned the value of receiving, which is a feminine characteristic. Remember the saying that it is better to give than receive!! It is important to have both in balance. By allowing ourselves to fully receive we fill up our well. We have more to authentically give. The universe has given us so much but often times we create dams that block ourselves from letting it come in. We do this because we don’t feel worthy to receive these magnificent gifts there for us. Tool; when someone gives you something PAUSE, really allow to FEEL the gift. Set an intention to open to receiving all the gifts there are for you. Look for them by saying “I wonder how many amazing and miraculous things are going to happen before I go to bed tonight?”
These are tools and resources that Kathleen recommends:
“The Work” by Byron Katie. Full worksheet More information on her teachings: Click here. The Work of Byron Katie is a way of identifying and questioning the thoughts that cause all the fear, frustration, and suffering in the world. Experience the happiness of undoing those thoughts through The Work, and allow your mind to return to its true, awakened, peaceful, creative nature.
Patt Lind Kyle: Heal Your Mind Rewire your Brain. Audio to train your mind to go into deeper meditative states. Binaural beat pulsations in the background of each track increase the effectiveness of the meditations. They will also rapidly increase your mental and emotional stability and support the rewiring of your brain. Kathleen and Erin consistently practiced Patt’s techniques during the creation of Guiding Signs 101.
EFT’s (Emotional Freedom Technique): The Karate Chop that Kathleen recommends. Great for psychological reversal (feeling stuck or frozen), inability to let go, resistance to change, sorrow, feeling vulnerable, worry, obsession, compulsive behavior. Allows: Ability to move forward, letting go of the old, healing from grief, finding happiness in and connecting to the present moment. More information
Vision Board: a great article from Ophra’s site on creating Vision Boards and how they help make your dreams a reality. You must SEE it to believe it.
Walking Meditation: Kathleen uses this style of meditation to bring about a new insight, the forward movement is great for moving energy if you feel stuck. Say in your mind or out loud “what most wants to come through me right now?” and repeat More information and tips
Feel Free to share with us any insights from the series. We would love to hear from you!
2. Tele Session 2: Setting Intentions 2-28-12
What do you want really want? Doesn’t have to be big? Can be for this to flow with ease and grace, we can let go of having to believe we need to know HOW, simply know what we desire and surrender the need for knowing all the steps. Intention can be the energy – such as ease and grace. Intention IS setting something in motion – taking the first step.
Make a commitment for daily intention. Practice by evoking a feeling that is in alignment with your words.
Working with the moon. Working with nature: New Moons are a very powerful time to work with intentions on what you really want to bring forth in your life. The time of the New Moon is the dark time of the moon where you cannot see her. It is like the womb where a seed can be planted and grown to fruition. It is during the time of the New Moon that the moon and the sun come together and are next to each other, you can see this on an astrology chart. The most powerful time when working with the New Moon is to set your intentions and get clear on what they are a few days before the New Moon occurs. You can write them on a piece of paper, you can burn them with prayer. You can go outside and look up to the Heavens and state your intentions with all of your heart and ask for it. Then listen during the month for steps you are guided to take. Give gratitude.

“Until one is committed, there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back. Concerning all acts of initiative (and creation), there is one elementary truth, the ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans: that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then Providence moves too. All sorts of things occur to help one that would never otherwise have occurred. A whole stream of events issues from the decision, raising in one’s favor all manner of unforeseen incidents and meetings and material assistance, which no man could have dreamed would have come his way. Whatever you can do, or dream you can do, begin it. Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it. Begin it now.” It’s by Goethe
1. Tele Session 1: Authenticity 1-31-12
Article by Kathleen McIntire: 52 Weeks of Authenticity
Questions to Explore:
When you are living your most authentic life connected to your heart and your deepest and dearest passions. Explore, what lights you up? What excites you? Where does time disappear because you are so engrossed in what you are doing? What made you different when you were younger and others may have teased you causing pain and you hid this part of yourself? Who are the people you love to be with where you feel like you can be your most true self? Who are the people and what situations cause you to feel uncomfortable and where you find you start losing yourself?
Tool 1: The Elbow: This writing assignment is named after the man who invented it, I think his name is Joseph Elbow. It is an amazing tool for being able to really access some deep places in your subconscious and it is really easy to do. It should take about 40 – 45 minutes.
You write a title at the top of a page of paper –”What does my most authentic Self and Life look like? (if another title calls out to you please follow your guidance and use it).
Set the timer for 10 minutes…. You write the title of what you are writing about at the top of a page of paper and then just write as fast as you can in a stream of consciousness just letting whatever wants to come through to do so. When the timer rings at the end of 10 minutes you stop writing and read what you wrote and underline one line that jumps out at you. Take that one line that jumped out and put it at the top of a clean piece of paper and repeat the process, setting the timer for 10 minutes and writing quickly in a stream of consciousness. When the timer rings you stop writing and read what you wrote once again underlining one sentence and putting it at the top of a clean piece of paper and repeating the process for the third and final time. You should be quite amazed at where you started and where you ended!!!
Tool 2: Ask yourself what is your next step and then sit in silence for 15 minutes each day, listening for your guidance. Make sure to write it down after so you remember the wisdom you were given.
