A helpful way to use these cards is by using the energy of bear medicine. Think of how a bear goes inside a cave to hibernate in the winter. This is the inner place you want to go when you are using the cards to get an answer. Just imagine going into a deep silent bear cave. Know that all the answers are already there. The answers come first and the questions merely lead us to them. This place of the bear cave is also where our intuition can be contacted. It is the receptive feminine place.
Literal/Not Literal Use of Cards:
Guiding Signs 101 uses everyday road signs with which we are all familiar. In reality the yellow road sign cards mean caution. We are not using them in the literal way. We are simply using the image on the sign to convey the meaning.
So Playground Card does not mean Caution children playing. It simply means Playground or Play! The same is true for Bicycle and for all of the cards. It is simply the image that holds the meaning.
Meaning of Cards:
The meanings of the cards are not set in stone according to some rigid rule. The meanings of the cards flowed to me in a place of deep listening. By playing with the cards nearly every day and becoming friends with them they came alive. I started to know them. We all come from many walks of life and each of us has our own experiences and perceptions. I invite you to become friends with the cards and listen to them. What do they say to you, what other meanings do they hold for you? Besides being guides and helping us in the mini and major crossroads in everyday life, they are also intended to be a bridge to help each person get in deeper touch with his/her own intuition and wisdom.
Using the Cards:
The cards can be used in a light and playful way or they can be used to go very deep. It is up to you how you want to use them and what your mood is when doing them!
Going Deeper:
Each card also has a deeper meaning that you can read. There are also four inquiries with each card. You can work with journaling. The four direction cards of North, South, East, and West hold a specific quality that you might want to deepen in your life. There is an evening review that you can do.
