The power of Guiding Signs 101 is the ease and grace with which the cards take us deeper into the space of deep listening and intuition. We as a human community have temporarily lost our art of listening to our deep self and our intuition. To further impact this we have been living in a masculine paradigm, one that operates from the left hemisphere of the brain. The feminine, or right side of our brain, the creative side, has not been respected or trusted.
Every person holds the truth within him- or herself. We have been taught to ignore our inner wisdom. We have been taught to listen to outside authorities, to “experts” who have the information. But we already have the truth within our- selves. We just need to remember how to recognize, listen, and trust that inner voice and bring it back to a volume that can be heard and listened to!!
Another important thing that has been taken away is our ability to feel. As a child I was told if I wanted to cry my father would give me something to cry about. This meant emotional reasons did not exist for crying, only physical ones. A spanking would be a valid reason to cry. Boys in our society were taught not to cry. Little by little we stopped paying attention to our feelings. We began to forget our inner voice, our inner knowing and power. We started to believe that there were “experts” to tell us how to raise our children or what we should be eating or what it meant to be “successful,” which was based on material and external standards.
When we go deep inside of ourselves we go to that place of deep listening. When we listen with our heart we find our passions and inner truth. We hear our intuition. In remembering how to play and explore we discover our creativity. All of these are streams where life flows with ease and grace and we rekindle the magic we knew as children.
